Alpha Tables bring creativity and design to any breakout space with its juxtaposition of the soft character of wood and industrial steel. Made from standard powder coated steel top frame or up to your colour choice matching with white ash timber inserts to bring out the timeless design and durability to serve at any working context.
Melamine & Laminate
For general care and maintenance, a cloth dampened with water or used with an environmentally friendly all-purpose cleaner can be used to remove most spills and marks. Surfaces will generally resist staining, however spills such as beetroot, grape or berry juice, first aid preparations, concentrated bleach oven cleaners, dishwasher detergents, hair colouring and artificial dyes, and solvent based pen ink should be wiped away promptly to prevent stains. By gently rubbing the surface with a clean, dry cloth the natural brightness of the laminate surface will be restored.
Melamine and laminate surfaces will enjoy a long lifespan with a few sensible precautions. Avoid using scourers and abrasives as they will damage the surface. Using waxes and polishes will dull the shine of the surface so should be avoided. Cleaners products that are strongly acidic, alkaline or contain bleach should not be used for cleaning as they may etch the surface.
Timber Veneer and Solid Timber Surfaces
For general care and maintenance, most marks or spills will simply wipe away with a damp cloth. Ensure spills are wiped away promptly to avoid staining to the timber surface. Cleaning products should not be used.
Natural timber surfaces and the coatings used are not heat proof, so a heat resistant mat or coaster should be used with hot food and beverages. Direct contact with rubber feet on desktop items including phones and lamps should be avoided, it is recommended that a felt mat is used to protect furniture surfaces.
At AWM, we wholeheartedly believe it’s our responsibility to leave this planet in a better condition for generations to come, which is why we aim to recycle as much material during production as possible.
100% of the timber, melamine, particle board, steel, aluminium, cardboard, and Echopanel® offcuts used in our workplace solutions are sent back to the supplier to reuse for new products, contributing to a circular economy.
For instance, Polytec uses our timber and melamine offcuts to make white carcass board, which we use for joinery and locker applications. We also use Woven Image’s GreenTag™ certified Echopanel products, made from 60% post-consumer recycled PET, with all of our offcut materials contributing to new product.
