The Hayesbery
The Hayesbery by Goodman draws heavily on the existing industrial vernacular of this heritage precinct in Rosebery, just outside the Sydney CBD. Woods Bagot’s spectacular redevelopment has transformed the sprawling heritage complex into a sustainable, fully integrated, and flexible workspace. AWM were proud to work alongside the designers at Woods Bagot and builders Intermain to develop and produce and a range of innovative and bespoke workstation solutions. Featuring the first iterations of our Province, Drum+Base – Linear and Parsons workstations, we were able to truly flex our manufacturing capabilities.
Challenge
Celebrating Heritage
The Hayesbery by Goodman was designed to celebrate the industrial heritage of the site, harmonizing the raw and unfinished character of the heritage warehouse with modern, refined interior elements. The aim was to create a soft, light-filled interior that honored the historical context while introducing elements that could evolve and patina over time, allowing the new design to gracefully age with the old. The project also sought to incorporate sustainability initiatives and prioritize wellness, positioning end-of-trip facilities at the core of the workspace to be accessible to Goodman employees throughout the day.
Solution
Award-winning Design
Woods Bagot, in collaboration with AWM and Intermain builders, successfully transformed The Hayesbery into a sustainable, fully integrated, and flexible workspace. We played a pivotal role in this project by working closely with the designers to develop and produce innovative and bespoke workstation solutions. The workspace was furnished with our first iterations of the Province, Drum+Base – Linear, and custom steel-framed workstations, showcasing our manufacturing capabilities. The design incorporated finishes that resonated with the historical industrial context, allowing the space to evolve and patina gracefully over time.
