52 Reservoir St is a recently completed commercial complex in the heart of Surry Hills. Global marketing firm RGA occupy two floors as their new Sydney office. Working closely with long-term collaborators IPDA and designers at Wool+Hay, AWM were engaged to deliver a host of workstations, tables, loose furniture, and detailed joinery across both floors.

Challenge
Creating a Dynamic Workspace
When RGA moved into the recently completed commercial complex at 52 Reservoir St in Surry Hills, they faced the challenge of transforming their office into a dynamic, adaptable workspace. They needed an environment that could seamlessly switch from everyday work tasks to hosting large events and meetings. We worked closely with the long-term collaborators IPDA and the designers at Wool+Hay to create a space that offered versatility, technology integration, and flexible room configurations.
Solution
Versatile Furniture Solutions
Our approach to the challenge was multifaceted. They utilised their Wing Leg system, an excellent choice for smaller collaborative tables and workstations, to promote a collaborative and adaptable environment. However, the standout feature was the incorporation of our Australian Good Design Award-winning Drum+Base System in the boardroom. This system not only added a touch of design sophistication but also seamlessly accommodated the client’s specific AV requirements, underlining our expertise in integrating technology with furniture. The project’s success was further exemplified by our custom mobile storage units, which served both as storage solutions and flexible room dividers. This versatility allowed RGA to swiftly tailor their workspace, from hosting large events to creating clearly defined zones for team collaboration. Overall, the 52 Reservoir St project highlighted our ability to provide innovative and adaptable solutions that meet the unique demands of their clients.
