6-8 Parramatta Square
Parramatta Square is one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Australia to date, and AWM are proud of our ongoing involvement in the project for Built and Walker Corporation.
Challenge
Championing Sustainability
Parramatta Square, one of Australia’s most significant urban regeneration projects, posed a unique challenge in terms of designing a sustainable and efficient workspace for the bustling city center. We were entrusted with the task of designing, manufacturing and installing workstations to floors 1-15 of the 6&8 Parramatta Square building, which aimed to be the largest commercial office building in the country. Sustainability was at the forefront of the challenge, with the target of achieving a 6 Star Green Star As Built rating.
Solution
Local Solution
Building on our successful collaboration with Built. and Walker Corporation at 4 Parramatta Square, we extended our expertise to the 6&8 Parramatta Square project. The solution was centred around the use of our GECA Certified Alto workstation system, designed with tops made from Polytec’s Green Tag Certified E0 MDF board and screens upholstered in Woven Image’s Mura fabric, boasting 60% post-consumer recycled PET content. Notably, workstations on level 11 featured bespoke Forbo Linoleum tops with a contrasting solid Blackbutt timber edging detail, complemented by our Licensed Australian Made Alto workstation system in a striking and durable black powder coat, all meticulously produced in our Sydney factory.
