NAATI
The National Accreditation Authority for Translators & Interpreters (NAATI) is the certifying body for all translators and interpreters in Australia. Working with CRCPG, Strutt Studios, and IPDA, we helped successfully convert on level in a quaint heritage-listed building into a contemporary workplace specifically designed to meet the unique requirements of NAATI.
Challenge
Reviving Heritage into Contemporary Functionality
The challenge was to transform a level within a heritage-listed building into a modern and functional workspace tailored to the specific needs of the National Accreditation Authority for Translators & Interpreters (NAATI). This required preserving the building’s historical charm while incorporating contemporary design elements to cater to NAATI’s unique requirements.
Solution
Pinnacle Workstations and Versatile Furnishings
Our solution included the installation of Pinnacle workstations, providing designated work areas for NAATI staff. Foldable testing tables were strategically used to serve a dual purpose as meeting spaces and testing rooms. Tailored joinery, storage solutions, and the addition of Santorini chairs and Randi stools completed the transformation, resulting in a fully functional and collaborative workspace that seamlessly blended the heritage ambiance with contemporary functionality. The successful project was not only delivered on time and within budget but also left the client highly satisfied, achieving an ideal outcome for NAATI.
