NAIDOC Week KARI Games 2025

Our team had the honour of participating in the KARI Foundation’s NAIDOC Week Corporate Games—and what an enriching experience it was!
The day was a vibrant celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, offering us the chance to engage with deep traditions and fascinating stories. Thanks to the incredible guidance of Jodie Choolburra-Welsh of Brolga Dance Academy, we learned both traditional and contemporary Aboriginal dances—a powerful way to start our cultural immersion.
We also listened to a captivating Dreamtime story about the emu and kookaburra while picking up words and chants in First Nations languages—an inspiring glimpse into the richness of these ancient cultures. From trivia celebrating history and achievements to creative rock carving, every activity deepened our connection and respect.
The highlight of the day? Sharing meals rooted in culture. We enjoyed dishes featuring native ingredients and even got hands-on, preparing a crocodile Caesar salad using authentic seasonings.
A heartfelt thank you to the KARI Foundation for welcoming us and sharing these treasured traditions. Experiences like this foster genuine understanding, connection, and respect for the world’s oldest continuing culture.
