Creating a sense of community
AWM were previously engaged to work on the fitout for TAL Sydney and were delighted to provide furniture for the TAL Melbourne office for Levels 8- 12. The designer- Generate Interiors, envisoned a workspace that would enhance productivity as employees are working more in the office.
In this project, we explore the essence of what ‘makes’ a truly transformative space. There is a tendency to place emphasis on colours and the ambiance of walls and tiles as the primary determinants of cementing brand identity. While aesthetics undoubtedly is significant, the concept of function and aesthetics intertwined in workplace furniture creates a compelling synergy that enhances employee morale.
A bold statement is made with the Arico Meeting Chairs in the boardroom. The choice of custom tan leather meeting chairs featuring chrome accents blend modernity with the traditional aspects of the boardroom.
In the confines of the dining area, there is a sense of lightness and community formation. The Collaboration table features a unique winged leg system in the dining area offers elevated seating and accommodates larger groups to gather comfortably and unwind. This sense of community flows through in the dining tables nestled in booth environments. Moreover, the ‘Tokyo’ chairs with green seat pads are complemented by the natural timber frames that tie the space together.
In tranquil spaces such as the quiet rooms, the laptop tables and the Mera star base tables cater to employee’s working styles whether they want to work collaboratively or individually, inviting for focused productivity. Continuing this theme of privacy, the sliding door storage with a custom planter is strategically placed in the workspace to form a sense of privacy between workstations. Delineating privacy on workstations, the Orio screen acoustic panel allows privacy when doing work but still promotes collaboration.
AWM were pleased to deliver this large-scale project in collaboration with the builder- National Project Solutions Pty Ltd and the designer, Generate Interiors.
